Ich finde, dass Evoland 2: A Slight Case of Spacetime Continuum Disorder deutlich besser ist als der erste Teil; doch das war's dann auch. Denn Evoland 2 verwendet Spielmechaniken und Anspielungen so, wie ich Texte schreibe: Fragmentiert und ohne tiefere Bedeutung, und da fällt es schwer, mehr als nur "Jopp, ist nett" zu schreiben.

Das hat zwei simple Gründe: Niemand, der über Spiele schreibt, hackt gerne auf den unabhängigen Entwicklern rum, denn sie sind die Lieblinge der Fedora-Kinnbart-Spielekritiker. Die benutzen dann ganz große Wörter wie etwa "Ludonarrative Dissonanz", "Ian Bogost" oder "Arschloch", weil sie Spiele auf einer höheren Existenzebene verstehen. Nach den kleinen Entwicklern zu treten ist außerdem extrem unsportlich, denn die können sich nachweislich nicht wehren. Ein weiser alter Mann sagte jedoch einmal, dass jedes Spiel unabhängig von seiner Herkunft bestehen muss: Sollte es von daher überhaupt eine Rolle spielen, ob ein Millionenbudget oder ein Wohnzimmerentwickler hinter dem Werk steht? Nicht wirklich. Also: Auf Wiedersehen, Indie-Bonus!
