Auf der diesjährigen Develop Conference 2011 ließ R&D Manager von SCEE Phil Rogers verlauten, dass die Möglichkeit bestehe, die PlayStation Vita als einen Controller für die PlayStation 3 zu nutzen. Dabei soll das System Ähnlichkeit zu dem Wii U Controllers besitzen.
